Efficient brushless reciprocating saw
An efficient brushless reciprocating saw for spark-free cutting of metal and demolition work for professional use. Two speed settings, stroke length of 32 mm and stroke rate of 0 – 2 800 min-1 with continuous control from the switch. Quick-release blade attachment. Includes 2 x 5,0 Ah batteries and a charger in a case.
The DJR187 is Makita’s first reciprocating saw to feature a brushless motor. Brushless motors are compact in size and have low consumption levels - they are about 30 per cent smaller and lighter than conventional brushed motors. As indicated by its name, the brushless motor is not equipped with carbon brushes that would generate heat and friction - a feature that makes it a low-maintenance and durable alternative.
Thanks to Makita’s Li-ion batteries and a brushless motor, the DJR187 operates long periods without the need to change the batteries. The tool offers two stroke rates (0-2,300/0-3,000) and the suitable speed is easy to select from the switch before starting work. Its high stroke rate and stroke length of 32 mm bring added power to demolition work and spark-free cutting. Blade replacement and adjustment can be done without tools. An LED light and hanging loop.
